Suicide Prevention Week (9/5-9/9) is a week of national recognition of suicide prevention. We Matter Week is a special tribute hosted by the Magalassi Foundation.
The foundation has spread across this area of the US and impacted many lives. You can read more about their mission on their website: http://magalassifoundation.org
Junior Kalli Anderson, who has been involved with the foundation for 3 years, hopes to get more people involved with the second annual We Matter Week by, “Getting the word out there and promoting the campaign more.”
The last day of We Matter Week, Friday September 9th, is known as We Matter Day. Everyone is encouraged to wear their We Matter shirts on this day. If you don’t have one, there is a limited amount still available to purchase for $10. To order one, message the foundation on Facebook or email your request to firstname.lastname@example.org with your phone number included. There will also be shirts given away throughout the week. During the week, there will be an announcement for the people who win a shirt. A short script from the foundation will also be read during announcements.
I MATTER, YOU MATTER, WE MATTER.
