Once upon a time in the land of CHS there was such thing as mirrors. Where did they go? What happened to these mirrors?
On the quest to find answers we asked many people including the Secretary of the Attendance Office, Kelli Schultheiss.
She said one reason the mirrors are now gone is “…[girls] taking too long to primp in the mirror, lots of teachers called complaining about tardiness.”
That was not the first time nor the last time that was given as a main reason to the missing mirrors. Both teachers and administrators had listed this as a reason as well.
After a few other disgruntled comments we finally got ahold of the man himself, superintendent, Lance West. “They were busted over and over again over the course of 2 years. We need metallic mirrors which are very expensive.” says Mr. West. As to why we don’t have them back Mr West and other administration simply said that mirrors are not high up on the list of improvements and additions to our school.
The land of CHS will not be seeing mirrors soon due to the prioritizing of resources to learn, over mirrors to look at ourselves. So until the budget allows for metallic mirrors, keep breaking out the front camera to apply that extra coat of mascara.
