Lady Cards Fall to Rivals Skiatook

The Lady Cards varsity basketball team celebrated their Senior Night by taking on the Skiatook Lady Bulldogs. Collinsville varsity girls have had a progressive season, so far, but struggled with the Bulldogs.

Opening up the game, the girls trailed by double digits. But with a few well aimed shots, the Cards soon had baskets falling and tied up the game at the end of the 1st quarter. The home team kept a steady pace with the Lady Bulldogs throughout the remainder of the 1st half. Madison O’dell had two 3pt shots along with two free throws, and Mykalya Davis and Abby Stacy each had one 3pt shot. The Half ended with the Cards trailing 18-24.

The game went rapidly downhill for Collinsville and fell out of the Lady Cards’ hands. O’dell was able to complete two more FTs and Abby Stacy completed a 3pt, but that was all that fell in the 2nd half for Collinsville. There was a lid on the basket that no one could take off. Skiatook pulled ahead even more in the last two quarters.

The Lady Cards lost 28-48 to Skiatook when the final buzzer sounded. A tough loss, but the girls can only improve from here. The varsity team plans on getting back to practice and claiming a winning record at the end of the season.
