Collinsville Lady Cards vs. Glenpool Warriors

This entry is part 1 of 3 in the series basketball

Tuesday, November 28th, Glenpool hosted the Collinsville Cardinals, for the first game of the season. The Lady Cardinals JV came out with a win, the score was 37-20. Jolie Cole, a freshman who starts on JV hit 4 three-pointers and had a total of 16 pts. Kelly Ellis, also a freshman, had a total of 8 pts.

In the varsity game the girls had a lot of new faces, they had two returning starters. The 5 starters were Madison O’Dell, Bryn Willt, Abby Stacy, Makayla Davis, and Faith Curtis. Faith has worked hard to start on varsity, as a freshman. These girls performed very well together, they beat the Warriors 40-21. Collinsville held Glenpool to 6 points the first half, while they scored 20. The Cards one and only senior, Madison O’Dell scored 14 points tonight followed by Bryn Willt scoring 11.

Brad Cantrell is the new head coach for the Lady Cards, he came from Skiatook! He was proud of how the girls played tonight, although they have a lot to get better at, but like Brad said “A win is a win” and that’s exactly what the Lady Cards got Tuesday night!
