The entire week of homecoming was filled with constant celebrations throughout CHS. Because the schools took a professional day on Friday, CHS held their pep assembly on Thursday. The students were seated according to their class, and seniors through freshmen competed in a noise level contest throughout the pep assembly. The loudest and also the biggest CHS class were the freshman, but excitement roared through all sides of the gym. It was undoubtedly the loudest pep assembly in CHS history! Students were excited for Friday night’s homecoming game against the Tahlequah Tigers.
The pep assembly had drum line and cheer performances, games, and even two lucky teachers both getting pies in the face. Thursday was filled with Collinsville activities, but the insane amount of excitement given at the CHS pep rally set the tone for Homecoming 2017.
